If you are in Jefferson county it's always a good idea to stop by Main Reservoir. If the weather is wonderful here at Main Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Mesa Trail, and you can stay the night at The Prospect RV Park. If you come at the right time of year, South Platte River offers some perfect whitewater, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Bear Peak Trail. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Bear Creek Golf Club.

| | Throughout the long summer days, highs generally are in the 80's at Main Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Main Reservoir plunge into the 10's. If time allows, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth a visit, and South Park Lodge and RV Park is a glorious campground here. That right | |

there is heaps already, but it continues; Main Reservoir has it all. This is a nice area for folks who like lakes. East Reservoir is a lake around here, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Bear Creek.
This lake is
so wonderful. Main Dam is not far at all from Main Reservoir, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Beaver Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Hampton Inn Denver West Lakewood, Co, and
if you're here, you could visit Weaver Creek. Main Reservoir gets very little rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
If you need a spot to stay Sheraton Denver West Hotel is a great choice, and people from Denver-Aurora love to come here.
