A visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile, and some nearby water includes Weaver Creek. If you need a place to stay Sheraton Denver West Hotel is a perfect choice; Bear Creek Golf Club is a golf course close by. That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Main Reservoir has       it all. You can take a little trip to Main Dam while you're here at Main Reservoir; if you're here you can take a hike along the Bear Peak Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on South Platte River; camping is available at South Park Lodge and RV Park. At Main Reservoir throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures                  drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Main Reservoir are in the 10's. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. People from Denver-Aurora love to come to Main Reservoir; you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Beaver Brook Trail. Bear Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by; East Reservoir is a nice lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Denver West Federal Center is a great spot to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Mesa Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
