North Catamount Reservoir
 | 13 miles away For a nice hike/mountain bike ride, this lake has a complete loop around it. About half of it is single track that weaves gradually in and out of coves on the North side of the lake. The south side has a couple good climbs. The rest of the ride is on the roads (Ridge Trail), which offers some nice views of the Peak and glimpses of South Catamount. The best access, in my opinion, is from the Catamount entrance at the end of Edlow Road (Past Woodland Park about 3 miles).... |

I wolud head over to Eleven Mile if you arelooking for a good fishing trip!... |
Cheesman Lake
 | 17 miles away 1 PHOTO I was disappointed when I realized that canoes are not allowed. But it is very beautiful and a nice place for a simple hike.... Bring your fishing net!!!! I caught a two pound smallmouth off powerbait and reeled it in on 6lb test all the way to the bank and the line snapped as I pulled it up and out of the water because I had no net.... went in July 2007, no bites. Beautiful lake though.... |

Canoe the day away around the shores of the backcountry. Fish from the shore or a boat while enjoying scenic vistas. Camp comfortably in designated campsites located around the shoreline, nestled among trees in the backcountry, or tucked away in secluded canyon pockets and remote hillsides.
Ideal wind conditions make Eleven Mile a popular but not overly crowded destination for sailing, windsurfing and winter ice boating on this wide-open reservoir. Motor boaters and kayakers also find plenty of room to play during the summer months.
Many species of birds reside in or migrate through the park, making for wonderful bird watching prospects. Neighboring park, Spinney Mountain, offers additional opportunities for birding and fishing. Waterfowl hunting chances for a wide variety of ducks are excellent and are available each... |
