This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ouray is a splendid location to spend a night or two; don’t forget to take a look at Grasshopper Park while you're here at Mack Lake. Throughout the summertime at Mack Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. good time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you love the outdoors. Big Cimarron Campground is a great campground nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Cimarron River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so
wonderful. While you're here at Mack Lake you can take a hike along the Alpine Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Ouray Chalet Inn. Mack Lake is a location that is relatively dry frequently; September is when you get the most
rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Mack Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Beaver Lake Campground is a nice place to camp nearby, and there are some great whitewater spots on Cimarron River.
