Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains is excellent!. At Macey Lakes you can see Colony Baldy; camping at North Crestone Campground is always a great experience. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Venable-Comanche Trail is always a delightful adventure,       and the vistas at Great Sand Dunes National Monument will blow your mind. At Macey Lakes throughout the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Macey Lakes plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Macey Lakes is Cross D Bar Trout Ranch, and there are magnificent sites                  to look at along the Loop Trail.
