There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. A lake nearby is North Colony Lakes, and Macey Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Grape Creek RV Park and Campground is a magnificent local campground. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is bountiful here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. All our national parks are wonderful places to stop at, and Great       Sand Dunes National Monument is no exception. At Macey Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Macey Lake. Go for a hike on the Loop Trail, and if you came to camp North Crestone Campground is a pleasant place to do that. It is very dried out here at Macey Lake generally; August is the wettest month with                  most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. If you get bored of Macey Lake, you could also check out close by Macey Lakes; Macey Falls is an inspiring spot to stop by during your stay. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable things to do right next door to Macey Lake. Don't leave Macey Lake without first going for a hike along the Rainbow Trail, and Colony Baldy is clearly visible from Macey Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
