Looking for something right next door to Lyle Lake? Mormon Lake is close by; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fryingpan River, and this is a popular spot for folks from Edwards. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor       Gulch is a glorious place to get some rest, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Main Range Trail. Lyle Lake is right by the Last Chance Trail, and the snow is great at Beaver Creek. Lyle Lake is located in the Sawatch Range. Through the days of summer at Lyle Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here                  at Lyle Lake. This place, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. You're possibly keen on lakes, Bench Lakes is one of those nearby; camping is available at Elk Wallow Campground. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Ski Cooper; as expected Lyle Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Lyle Lake. Lake Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and the Highline Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Ivanhoe Dam; camping at Mary Queen Campground is always a great experience. Around Lyle Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
