While you're here at Lutz Reservoir, you could also go to beautiful Bowles Reservoir Number 2; splendid hiking is available along the Mary Jane Ski Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Front Range has to offer. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Berthoud Pass, and Lutz Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Saint Louis Campground is a great local campground.       Lutz Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Pole Creek Golf Club; after a long day outdoors Waterside West by Resort Management Group is a great location to spend a night or two. There's nice hiking along the High Lonesome Trail. It is very dried out here at Lutz Reservoir mostly; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.                  Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do close to Lutz Reservoir. Really good skiing awaits you at Winter Park, and do explore Meadow Creek Reservoir, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Idlewild Campground is a glorious location to do that, and whitewater paddling is great on Fraser River. At Lutz Reservoir during the summer months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Lutz Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The Front Range is so good! A glorious close by hotel is Meadow Ridge Condominiums, and get soaked paddling on Woods Creek.
