This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Steamboat is one of those things you just ought to do. High temperatures at Luna Lake through the summertime are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Luna Lake. Any time is a brilliant time at Luna       Lake if you like the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Winterwood Townhomes is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; since you're here you can take a hike along the Crags Trail. Why not camp at Dry Lake Campground since you're here at Luna Lake, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Luna Lake Trail. Camping is available at Summit Lake Campground, and Lakes of the Crags is a pleasant lake nearby. Be careful coming to the Park Range, you                  might not ever want to return back home again. Really great skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Luna Lake, for example Lake of the Crags, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Big Creek Lake Trail. Luna Lake is generally a quite dried up site; most of the snow falls through December; August is when it's the driest. That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all.
