Do stop by Luark Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. Luark Reservoir is a location that is relatively waterless generally; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most snow, and June is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is good on Colorado River, and there's some interesting stuff to see at Luark Dam in the vicinity of Luark Reservoir. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Fargo Gulch is a wonderful location to explore; if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Eagle is a magnificent choice. Get drenched paddling on Piney River, and Hangmans Rock is an out of the ordinary thing to spot if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co; Toponas Creek Campground is a fine campground nearby.

While you're here at Luark Reservoir you can take a hike along the Ute Trail. Going for a hike along the High Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Luark Reservoir is a pleasant site to visit for more than one
day, Anderson Camps LTD is a pleasant site to camp nearby. At Luark Reservoir through the warm months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Luark Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
