All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lower Sandbar Lake. Hooligan Roost Campground is a nice campground nearby, and Lower Sandbar Lake is right by the McIntyre Lake Trail. Just can't get enough of the Medicine Bow Mountains. Upper Sandbar Lake is a splendid lake in the neighborhood       of Lower Sandbar Lake, and Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge is a good spot to get some rest. You clearly should fancy Lower Sandbar Lake. A quick journey to Camp Creek in the neighborhood of Lower Sandbar Lake is a good idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Joe Wright Creek in a kayak; Browns Park Campground is a perfect local campground.                  This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. The panorama of North Rawah Peak from Lower Sandbar Lake is beautiful, and swamps don’t sound that wonderful but Rawah Bog right next door to Lower Sandbar Lake is relatively wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Link Trail is great fun; since you're here, you might as well stop at Grassy Pass. Lower Sandbar Lake is a location that is pretty dry mostly; May is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rawah Trail. Lakes?
