There are great places to explore along the Winding Stairs Trail, and you're in all probability interested in lakes, Upper Reservoir is one of those close by. Through the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Lower Reservoir. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lower Reservoir       temperatures dip to the 10's. If you came to camp Lake Of The Rockies Retreat is a perfect spot to do that; a magnificent close by hotel is Fairfield Inn & Suites Colorado Springs North/Air Force Academy. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Balanced Rock Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Lower Reservoir is not far at all from Colorado Springs. This lake is so wonderful. Limbaugh Canyon is a great place to stop by nearby, and don't leave                  Lower Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Schubarth Trail. Looking for a glorious visit? Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is rather right next door to Lower Reservoir, and camping at Colorado Heights Camping is always a splendid experience. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful. All year is a magnificent time in the Front Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. It's a great idea to stop at Ice Cave Creek, it's near Lower Reservoir; the top of Ben Lomand Mountain is easily distinguished from Lower Reservoir. Not much precipitation falls here at Lower Reservoir; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is January. So much fun stuff close to Lower Reservoir, just fantastic. This is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes.
