Lower Peeler Lake is frequently a pretty dried up place; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month. The summit of Carfield Peak can be made out from Lower Peeler Lake, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Oh Be Joyful Creek.       This lake is so wonderful. There's magnificent hiking along the Trail Riders Trail; Irwin Lodge has great slopes and a friendly staff. Lower Peeler Lake is right by the Mill-Castle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody loves Elk Basin, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Slate River. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Lower Peeler Lake is unbeatable! Gunsight Pass is right next door to Lower Peeler                  Lake and is certainly a splendid location to go to, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Upper Peeler Lakes. The Lowline Trail offers hiking at its best; after a long day outdoors Elevation Hotel & Spa is a glorious site to spend a night or two. If you came for an overnight stay Avery Peak Campground is a great spot to camp, and you'll find a striking lake called Copley Lake. Summertime highs at Lower Peeler Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
