Lower Peeler Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Avery Peak Campground is a great local campground, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Mill-Castle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Lower Peeler Lake you can take a hike along the Trail Riders Trail; Irwin Lodge is a very popular ski area close at hand. Lower Peeler Lake is pretty dried out usually;       August is the wettest month with most rain while February is typically the driest month. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Slate River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lower Peeler Lake while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Lower Peeler Lake.
