After a long day outdoors Crystal Peak Lodge is a good spot to spend a night or two, and there's great hiking along the Burro Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lower Mohawk Lake without first going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail, and Father Dyer Peak can be made out from Lower Mohawk Lake. Get wet paddling on Tenmile Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Kite Lake Campground is a splendid place       to camp. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Lower Mohawk Lake is peerless! Why not go to Upper Blue Dam while you're here, and a day on the slopes of Crested Butte is just what you need. Tiger Run Resort is a good campground here; if you've had enough of Lower Mohawk Lake, Lower Crystal Lake is nearby. High temperatures at Lower Mohawk Lake all through the months of summer are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. Throughout                  the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Lower Mohawk Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Breckenridge is pleasant; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Mohawk Lake; Wheeler Trail is a great local trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River; dry warm beds await you at Four O Clock Run Condos. The fine people of Silverthorne like to hang out close by.
