For the period of the months of summer highs here at Lower Hoffman Lake reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Lower Hoffman Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Round Mountain Trail; almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Heinricy Lake is just       a very short distance away. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Hoffman Lake; Jug Trail is a great local trail; enjoy a round of golf at Cattail Creek Golf Course. A great location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Lower Hoffman Lake is Cache La Poudre River, and camping at Boyd Lake is always a fine experience. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Comfort Inn Loveland is a nice location to get some rest, and camping is available                  at Loveland RV Village Campground. Boyd Lake Dam is a gorgeous site next to Lower Hoffman Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Loveland is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Big Thompson River near Lower Hoffman Lake, and why not a little side journey to Dry Creek. This is a fine area for people who like lakes. Upper Hoffman Lake is a lake close by, and Lower Hoffman Lake is a place with many visitors from Fort Collins-Loveland.
