So many cool things to do at Lower Dome Reservoir, so little time. There's tremendous hiking along the Skyline Trail, and Lower Dome Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Upper Dome Reservoir is a nearby lake. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. If you came to camp Luders Creek       Campground is a good place to do that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lower Dome Reservoir; Devils Hole Trail is a fine local trail. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a magnificent time. A journey to Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is worthwhile; Archuleta Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. Poison Gulch is a good site to spend some time at, and camping at Stone Cellar Campground                  is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. Cochetopa Dome is clearly visible from Lower Dome Reservoir, naturally you could also have a look at Moss Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. At Lower Dome Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
