Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lower Big Creek Reservoir temperatures fall to the 0's. West Fork Meadows is a delightful spot, and Lower Big Creek Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Creek Campground is a       glorious local campground. What a place this is for outdoors people. Lower Big Creek Reservoir is right by the West Fork Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Encampment River. This lake is located in the wonderful Park Range. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Park Range has to offer. There are other places here than Lower Big Creek Reservoir, for example Manzanares Lake; the panorama of Black Mountain is lovely. This                  lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Elk River is so much fun, and camping at Hinman Campground is always a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Fireline Trail, and a good nearby hotel is Nordic Lodge of Steamboat. Not much precipitation falls here at Lower Big Creek Reservoir; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Park Range is peerless! Hiking along the Stump Park Trail is good fun, and if you need a place to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a brilliant choice. Lakes?
