Loveland Reservoir is near Loveland Dam which is a delightful site beyond doubt worth stopping at, and a pretty lake like Handy Reservoir is a pleasant place to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Round Mountain Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the destinations that are pleasant to go to close by. What a place this       is for outdoors folks. There's so much to do here at Loveland Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Parrish Ranch Recreational Vehicle Resort & Evnt is a glorious spot for that; float down the rapids of Saint Vrain Creek - North in a kayak. If you came to camp Boyd Lake is a wonderful place to do that; lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Welch Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by close by Dry Creek while you're here at                  Loveland Reservoir, and if you need a site to stay Longmont/Twin Peaks Super 8 Motel is a nice choice. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Loveland; if you're visiting from Fort Collins-Loveland, you won't be the only one. Summertime highs at Loveland Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Loveland Reservoir. There are nice locations to look at along the Jug Trail, and get soaked paddling on Big Thompson River.
