A visit to Love Lake is always a good idea. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Henson Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Lost Lake Reservoir Number 1, and the sight of gorgeous Finger Mesa is perfect. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez

| | Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Trail Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth stopping at, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Big Blue Trail. Love Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and June on the other hand is the driest. to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's while Love Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. This spot, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things.
Lost Trail Campground is a good local campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. Love Lake Dam is stunning and it's in close proximity to Love Lake, and you can run the rapids of Rio
Grande. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Not far from Love Lake, you'll locate Lost Lakes which is a picturesque lake; Thirtymile Campground is a glorious campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Very wonderful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Silverton.
