This lake is so wonderful. On a lovely day you obtain a view of Finger Mesa from Love Lake, and not far from Love Lake you'll discover Lost Lake Reservoir Number 1 which is a lovely lake. There's some flowing water close by, Lost Trail Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay; whitewater paddling is splendid on Henson Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Love Lake. Going for a hike along the Big Blue       Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; Rio Grande has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby. Summertime highs at Love Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Love Lake. Love Lake is pretty dried out usually; August is the wettest month with most rain while June                  is usually the driest month. All the outdoors fun things in the San Juan Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. Take a hike on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Silverton is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan Mountains for a glorious time. Hiking along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway is nice fun, and camping is available at Lost Trail Campground. Love Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and if you came for an overnight stay Thirtymile Campground is a perfect place to camp.
