If you came for an overnight stay Portal Campground is a good site to camp, and you can run the rapids of Lake Creek. For the period of the warm months highs here at Lost Man Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lost Man Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Chapman       Trail; beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you get at Aspen Mountain. Nearby lakes? Sure, Independence Lake is in close proximity to Lost Man Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Massive Trail. This is a glorious vicinity for people who like lakes. Blue Lake is a lake close by, and The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a magnificent place to get some rest. Having a great time in the Sawatch Range is simple. Why not camp                  at Lost Man Campground while you're here at Lost Man Lake, and Fryingpan River is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. Geissler Mountain is a peak you can see from Lost Man Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Deadman Gulch is a tremendous location to take a look at right next door to Lost Man Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Aspen Highlands. Not much precipitation falls here at Lost Man Lake; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Sawatch Range has to offer.
