     A brilliant spot to camp here at Lost Lakes is Thirtymile Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Lakes; Long Ridge Stock Driveway is a great local trail. It is very dried up here at Lost Lakes generally; August is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains rocks! Why not have
 
   a look at close by Ute Creek while you're here at Lost Lakes; Lost Lakes is not the only spot close by, Lost Lake Reservoir Number 1 is a close by lake. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Grande; Horse Thief Pasture is a great place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on  
               the tremendous whitewater of Henson Creek, and the slopes of Silverton are so inviting nobody can resist.
Summertime highs at Lost Lakes mostly tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lost Lakes. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Lost Lakes. Lost Lakes is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Lost Trail Campground is a wonderful local campground, obviously you could also visit Love Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Lost Lakes is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
There's nice hiking along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and nice water scenery is available at Love Lake Dam near Lost Lakes.
