    The beauty of Lost Lakes is reason enough to stop by. Lost Lakes is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lost Lakes is a great place to camp, Thirtymile Campground is a great place; there's some interesting stuff to see at Love Lake Dam close to Lost Lakes. This lake is so wonderful.
Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Lost Lakes. You can run the rapids of Henson Creek in the
 
   neighborhood of Lost Lakes, and if you need a place to stay Silver Spur Motel is a magnificent choice. So much exciting stuff to do in the San Juan Mountains, not sufficient time. Camping at Lost Lakes is great fun, Lost Trail Campground is a great local campground, and unsurprisingly Ute Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at. Around Lost Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and June on the other  
               hand is the driest.
There are great locations to look at along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway; a trip to Horse Thief Pasture revives the spirit. There's whitewater on Rio Grande for all you adrenaline kick people; a pretty lake like Lost Lake Reservoir Number 1 is a tremendous site to stop at. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Lost Lakes, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lost Lakes are in the 10's.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan Mountains. Don't leave Lost Lakes without first going for a hike along the Long Ridge Stock Driveway, and Matterhorn Motel is a nice location to get some rest.
