This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Vail is a pleasant local ski area. There's so much to do here at Lost Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Mary Queen Campground is a splendid site for that. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Eagle River; you can go for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail. | | is clearly visible from Lost Lakes, and if you get bored of Lost Lakes you could also check out close by Slide Lake. Lost Lakes is ordinarily a relatively dried up place; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. Stay the night at Gold Park Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Cooper is relatively near. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lost Lakes. 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Lost Lakes tend to be in the 0's. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor
Gulch, and as expected East Fork Homestake Creek is a lovely stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Homestake Condominiums is a pleasant choice, and West Tennessee Lakes is a nearby lake
that you could take a look at. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Lost Lakes has it all. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Homestake Creek, and splendid hiking is available along the Half Moon Trail. You'll meet
a lot of folks from Edwards here; going for a hike on the Main Range Trail is always a great adventure. Lost Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range.
