All year is a perfect time in the Park Range if you fancy the outdoors. An exciting thing to stop at in the neighborhood of Lost Lake Reservoir is Lost Lake Dam, and Vail is a very popular ski area around here. A fine site to camp here at Lost Lake Reservoir is Prairie Point Campground, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Slate Creek Trail. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Blue River, and camping at Davis Springs Campground is always a good experience. Summer at Lost Lake Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's.
