     Lakes are pleasant; Youngs Lake is a lake that's close to Lost Lake, and why not camp at Weir and Johnson Campground while you're here at Lost Lake. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Rifle, and on a great day you can take a hike along the East Leon Trail. This lake is so wonderful. From Lost Lake you get a fine view of Leon Peak; close by you discover the Green Mountain Trail  
   which is a delightful hiking trail. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Lake Campground is a delightful spot to camp, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the High Trail.
Lost Lake is in close proximity to Kendall Dam which is a charming site positively worth visiting; after a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. Not far from Lost Lake, you'll locate Kendall Reservoir which
 
               is a picturesque lake. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Lost Lake highs are typically in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Lost Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
At Lost Lake you don’t see much rainfall; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and June is when it's the driest.
