At Lost Lake you don’t see much precipitation; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. All year is a wonderful time in the Medicine Bow Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Big South Campground is a delightful campground       nearby; if you need a site to stay Inn At Grand Lake, The is a delightful choice. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains. There are good places to explore along the Big South Trail; not far from Lost Lake you'll find Joe Wright Reservoir which is a wonderful lake. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Lost Lake. Going for a hike on the West Branch Trail is always a magnificent                  adventure, and of course Fall Creek flows through this vicinity. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Lost Lake with nighttime lows in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Lost Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Joe Wright Creek right next door to Lost Lake. There is a great hiking trail right next door to Lost Lake called the Blue Lake Trail. Lakes? Sure, Trap Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful.
