are in the 0's. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Lost Lake. If you get bored of Lost Lake, you could also have a look at nearby Lake Husted; you can stay the night at Tom Bennett Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River - South Fork offers some good whitewater, and the Lost Lake Trail offers hiking at its best.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all

the amusing things in the Front Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Lake; Stormy Peaks Trail is a great local trail, and Stormy Peaks Pass is also a brilliant site to explore. If you need a spot to stay Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a perfect choice, and don't miss out on a journey to Rocky Mountain National Park since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier Number 1 Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Lost Lake is right by the Black Canyon Trail.
That right there is a lot of amusing things already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. There are some good whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Fawn Valley Inn. Lost Lake is pretty dehydrated ordinarily; most of the rain falls through July, and the driest month of the year is December.

The lake was very low on 6/29/08. Not sure when they let all the water out but if it was before this last winter we had... I bet it froze solid. We both fished for a while and did not see and sign of life while we were there....

Ypsilon Lake
It's true. This lake is incredible for fishing probably because it is little fished. Beetle Spins not so good for us but Rooster Tails and Yo-Zuri Pin's minnow 2'' Rainbow Trout colored did the trick. Four of us went here July '09. The hike was long but worth it. Accompanied by a late morning start, it rained off and on so we didn't get to fish as much as we wanted plus the altitude got to one of us pretty badly. We're lowlanders from the South. A couple of extra-strength Tylenol, he was up and around in an hour or so. Next time we'll camp at Upper Chipmunk and each eat our fill of Trout each day. Awesome adventure!...

The historic lodge was built in 1919 at Bear Lake in the National Park and later moved piece by piece to its present location. In 1965 it was the site for TV westerns such as Bonanza and The Virginian. The outside grill was built by Hoss Cartwright (Dan Blocker) to feed crewmembers and it still exists. In the Lodge stands 1/2 of the mahogany bar from the Windsor Hotel in Denver. It is said that Calamity Jane was refused service bec...

Long Draw Reservoir
11 miles away
A very nice place to go camping, hiking and fishing. The reservoir has an astonishing breathtaking view, nothing like I have ever seen before, yes that beautiful! We went the weekend of July 10th, 2009 the weather during the day is very nice and sunny avg. temp about 75 degrees, the nights however are very cold, dipping into the low 40's and 30's, so be prepared for that, we came with too little of blankets and learned that to be a big mistake. Long draw is located about 15 mi. inland from Hwy 14 just past Chambers, driving into the reservoir looks deceitful because it seems as though you are traveling into the thick of the forest with nothing but trees around, but be patient 15 mi. in you will discover the camp ground, enjoy!...

Tunnel Campground
19 miles away
This has been a favorite vacation/relaxation spot for my family for many years. The popularity has grown and the campground is very busy during the summer months on weekends. There is great stream and lake fishing nearby, plenty of trails for hiking and an evening drive to Long Draw Reservoir is guaranteed to provide sightings of elk and moose. ...
