Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! Lost Lake is peerless! The sight of stunning Many Thunders Mountain near Lost Lake is wonderful, and a fine spot to stop at close by is Columbine Canyon. So many exciting things in the Medicine Bow Mountains, just unbelievable. Go for a hike on the Kreutzer Nature Trail, and camping is available at Dowdy Lake - Arapaho National Forest. Through the summer months, highs typically       are in the 80's at Lost Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows at Lost Lake throughout the wintertime typically fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Windy Gap Lake near Lost Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Columbine Creek. And that's not all you can do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains.                  If you need a site to stay The Evergreens On Fall River is a great choice, and a great place to camp here at Lost Lake is Lost Lake Campground. Don't leave Lost Lake without first going for a hike along the Mount McConnel Trail, and a golf course close by is Fox Acres Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Cache La Poudre River; you'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Parvin Lake. There are wonderful sites to explore along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Cache La Poudre River - North Fork offers some great whitewater. This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains.
