    Lost Lake is a lake worth visiting. At Lost Lake you don’t see much precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is June. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Lost Lake. Cascade Village is a splendid spot to get some rest, and Kendall Mountain has splendid slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful.
Really glorious skiing awaits you at Silverton, and a pleasant place for whitewater
 
   paddling is Animas River. There is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Lost Lake called the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway, and from Lost Lake you acquire a tremendous vista of Buffalo Peak. You definitely must adore the San Juan Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Annie Lakes, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Whitehead Trail.

               a great campground here, and you can run the rapids of Vallecito Creek. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Camping at Lost Lake is good fun, Vallecito Campground is a good local campground; on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Deer Park Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains.
Throughout the summertime at Lost Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lost Lake.
