    Do stop by Lost Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. This lake is so wonderful. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Animas River, and the snow is pleasant at Kendall Mountain. High temperatures at Lost Lake during the long summer days are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lost Lake are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Long Hollow is a glorious
 
   location to take a look at nearby; don't leave Lost Lake without first going for a hike along the Whitehead Trail. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Durango here; the Highline Trail offers hiking at its best. A fine site to camp here at Lost Lake is Transfer Park Campground, and Wits End is a wonderful place to get some rest.
Lost Lake is regularly a rather arid location; August is the wettest month with most rain while June is commonly
 
               the driest month. What a site this is for outdoors folks. If you come at the right time of year, Canyon Creek offers some fine whitewater; there's fine hiking along the Deer Park Trail. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the San Juan Mountains. Why not camp at Florida Campground if you're here at Lost Lake, and unsurprisingly Blodgett Creek flows through this vicinity.
If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan Mountains. If you need a location to stay Grimes Creek Resort is a nice choice, and why not head up to Silverton and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains.
