    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Lost Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you need a site to stay Alamosa-Days Inn is a great choice, and do take a hike on the Strawberry Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lost Lake with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Lost Lake tend to be in the 0's.  
   A lake close by is Lily Lake; Pinyon Flats Campground is a great campground nearby.
These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Great Sand Dunes Oasis is a brilliant local campground, and the Huerfano Trail offers hiking at its best. You absolutely have to fancy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lost Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Do pay
 
               a visit to Great Sand Dunes National Monument if you're here at Lost Lake, and Lost Lake is right by the Ute Trail. Lost Lake is a location that is pretty dry ordinarily; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. The panorama of Blanca Peak from Lost Lake is wonderful, as expected you could also take a look at Middle Zapata Creek Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
