    A visit to Lost Lake is always a good idea. Skiing at SolVista is one of those things you just must do, and Winding River Resort is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Berthoud Pass. If the weather is great here at Lost Lake, you can go for a hike along the Gilsonite Trail; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Colorado River.
At Lost Lake you can see Porphyry Peaks; dry warm beds await you at Gateway Inn
 
   Restaurant Cnf Ctr. This lake is so wonderful. Teller City Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and close by you locate the Bowen Trail which is a great hiking trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lost Lake while night lows are ordinarily in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lost Lake dip into the 0's.
But wait, there's more to
 
               do right next door to Lost Lake. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Willow Creek, and if you're here, you could also stop at pretty Blue Lake. The Wolverine Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Lost Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Inn At Grand Lake, The is a tremendous choice. Not much precipitation falls here at Lost Lake; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January is when it's the driest.
