A visit to Lost Lake is always a good idea. Skiing at SolVista is one of those things you just must do, and Winding River Resort is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Berthoud Pass. If the weather is great here at Lost Lake, you can go for a hike along the Gilsonite Trail; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Colorado River. At Lost Lake you can see Porphyry Peaks; dry warm beds await you at Gateway Inn

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lost Lake while night lows are ordinarily in the 30's.
