    Loss Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Loss Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Loss Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Loss Reservoir is a location that is rather dehydrated typically; July is the month that gets the most rain while February  
   is ordinarily the driest month.
Be careful coming to Loss Reservoir, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Glide down the rapids of Uncompahgre River in a kayak, and Cedar Spring is a perfect local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. Coyote Knob is a peak you can observe from Loss Reservoir, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Spring Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If you're visiting
 
               Loss Reservoir from Montrose, you won't be the only one, and why not camp at Antone Spring Campground since you're here at Loss Reservoir.
And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Camping is available at Iron Spring Campground; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. If you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some tremendous whitewater, and hiking along the Dry Creek Trail is great fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
If you need a place to stay Canyon Trails Inn is a fine choice, and do take a hike on the Paradox Road.
