Loss Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Loss Reservoir. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Loss Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Plateau Mountains. Camping is available at Iron Spring Campground; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. If you come at the right time of year, San Miguel River offers some tremendous whitewater, and hiking along the Dry
Creek Trail is great fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. If you need a place to stay Canyon Trails Inn is a fine choice, and do take a hike on the Paradox Road.
