This spot, the Park Range, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Why not camp at Parkview Campground if you're here at Longs Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Trail Creek Campground is a glorious place to camp, and Summit at SilverCreek is a good location to get some rest. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Buffalo Reservoir is a lake close by, and at Longs Lake you can catch a glimpse of Sheep       Mountain. All through the days of summer at Longs Lake highs are frequently in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 20's; night lows in the 0's for Longs Lake. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the neighborhood of Longs Lake. While you're here at Longs Lake you can take a hike along the Grassy Run Trail, and you're possibly into lakes, Matheson Reservoir is one                  of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Haystack Trail is wonderful fun, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Colorado River. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Park Range. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Rock Creek Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Willow Creek offers some splendid whitewater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range.
