This lake is so wonderful. You could also have a look at Crescent Lake since you're here at Longmont Reservoir; it's nearby, and a tour to Rocky Mountain National Park is recommended. Here at Longmont Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Boulder, and the scenery at Button Rock Dam is wonderful. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Front Range. After a long day outdoors Stone       Mountain Lodge And Cabins is a great spot to spend a night or two, and Antelope Park is a brilliant spot to check out. For the period of the summer months here at Longmont Reservoir, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; night lows all through the winter for Longmont Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. That right there is a heap of exciting                  stuff already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. Coffintop Mountain is easy to spot from Longmont Reservoir, and going for a hike on the North Sheep Mountain Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Ceran Vrain Trail; Longmont Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Park Place Camping Resort is a great local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is great on Saint Vrain Creek - North. There's so much to do here at Longmont Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Stone Mountain Lodge and RV Park is a great place for that. Longmont Reservoir gets very little rain; July is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. A wonderful close by hotel is Bighorn Moutain Lodge, and paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - South is so much fun. Longmont Reservoir is not the only site nearby, Button Rock Reservoir is a nearby lake, and you can go for a hike on the Bright Trail. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in close proximity to Longmont Reservoir.
