This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cache La Poudre River - North Fork,
and hiking along the Jug Trail is perfect fun. Long Pond Reservoir Number 5 gets very little precipitation; during the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
If you get bored of Long Pond Reservoir Number 5, you could also take a look at close by Richards Reservoir; after a long day outdoors Best Western Kiva Inn is a perfect place to spend a night or two.
