For the duration of the summer months at Long Lake highs are generally in the 80's; the nighttime is rather cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Long Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Divide Trail offers hiking at its best, and Butcherknife Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting.       Long Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Granite Campground is a pleasant local campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Steamboat is quite near. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. Camping at Base Campground is always a pleasant experience; Long Lake Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Park Range will keep you coming back persistently. If you're going to Long Lake                  from Edwards, you won't be the only one, and if you need a place to stay Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a splendid choice. Long Lake is a beautiful lake in the Park Range. Get soaked paddling on Elk River, and hiking along the Fish Creek Falls Trail is glorious fun. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Howelsen Hill is brilliant, and a lake close by is Round Lake. So many cool things to do at Long Lake, so little time. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Elk River, and if you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Haymaker Golf Course. Long Lake gets very little rainfall; December is the wettest month with most snow while August is usually the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Winterwood Townhomes; you don’t have to go far from Long Lake to observe the water at Long Lake Dam. This location is peerless, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do in close proximity to Long Lake.
