If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Long Lake. At Long Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Long Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. Gotta ski! Steamboat is a pleasant location to do that. Lakes? Sure, Lake Elmo is nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy

| | the Park Range. Long Lake Dam is a gorgeous spot next to Long Lake; you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Percy Lake Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Fish Creek Falls Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and get drenched paddling on Elk River. the Divide Trail.
All the outdoors exciting things in the Park Range will keep you coming back persistently. Dry warm beds await you at Thunderhead Lodge And Condominiums, and needless to say Butcherknife Creek is a beautiful
stream that is worth visiting. Long Lake gets very little precipitation; throughout December this area sees the most snow, and August on the other hand is the driest. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here
for a while, Base Campground is a good place for that; if you need a place to stay Ski Inn is a pleasant choice.
And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do close to Long Lake. You'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here,
and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great world it would be. Stay the night at Granite Campground, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Haymaker Golf Course.
