If you're here at Long Lake, you could check out Butcherknife Creek, and float down the rapids of Elk River in a kayak. Hiking along the Fish Creek Falls Trail is magnificent fun; Long Lake Dam is a lovely site, definitely worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. If you're dropping by Long Lake from Edwards, you won't be the only one, and Long Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Base Campground       is a good local campground. For the duration of the days of summer at Long Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Long Lake tend to be in the-10's. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Park Range. Near Long Lake you come across a golf course called Haymaker Golf Course, and a splendid                  nearby hotel is Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums. Long Lake is right by the Divide Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. So much cool stuff to do here at Long Lake, too great to be true. A lake nearby is Round Lake. Long Lake gets very little precipitation; during December this area sees the most snow; the driest month is August. Skiing at Steamboat is one of those things you just must do; do take a hike on the Percy Lake Trail. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Park Range.
