You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Front Range has to offer. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fraser River, and you can stay the night at Trailhead Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Berthoud Pass is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and a spree to Rocky Mountain National Park is worthwhile.       All through the warm months, highs usually are in the 70's at Long Lake while night lows are generally in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Long Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Long Lake; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This place, Long Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. There are wonderful spots to                  discover along the Cascade Trail. Lakes? Sure, Round Lake is in close proximity. But wait, there's more to do close to Long Lake. Head up to Winter Park and strap some skis to your feet. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Crawford Lake; of course Cascade Creek flows through this vicinity. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Front Range rules! One of the governing features of the surroundings of Long Lake is Hiamovi Mountain, and close by you locate the Roaring Fork Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Inn At Grand Lake, The, and Hell Canyon is in close proximity, and is a nice location.
