Trapline Campground is a perfect local campground, and not far from Long Lake you'll find Causeway Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on White River - North Fork; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Ute Trail. At Long       Lake all through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Long Lake are in the 0's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in close proximity to Long Lake has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Bucks Campground is a perfect site to camp; as expected Black Mountain Creek is a striking stream                  that is worth taking a look at. Sweetwater Creek is a great whitewater spot next to Long Lake; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Round Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Long Lake; March is the wettest month with most snow while June is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well check out Dead Mexican Gulch.
