This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. So much cool stuff to do here at Long Lake, too nice to be true. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder Creek - South, and camping at Mitchell Creek Campground is always a good experience. There's some interesting stuff to see at Long Lake Dam close to Long Lake; going for a hike along the Blue Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural       beauty of this neighborhood. Long Lake gets very little rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Front Range. Really nice skiing awaits you at Berthoud Pass; Long Lake is not the only spot nearby, Long Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Winter Park has nice slopes and a friendly staff; if                  you have the time, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth stopping at. And if that's not enough there's loads more entertaining things to do in the Front Range. Camping is available at Pawnee Campground, and if you've had enough of Long Lake, Mitchell Lake is nearby. If you come at the right time of year, Boulder Creek offers some glorious whitewater, and Best Western Lodge At Nederland is a nice location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Stone Mountain Lodge And Cabins is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and hiking along the Jean Lunning Trail is pleasant fun. High temperatures at Long Lake during the summertime months are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
