This lake is so wonderful. Lonesome Lake is right by the Mount Massive Trail; a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Homestake Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawatch Range. Getting to Middle Fork Homestake Creek from Lonesome Lake is painless; dry warm beds await you at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. For the period of the days of summer       here at Lonesome Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lonesome Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Timberline Lake is a lake in the neighborhood; Lake Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. Head up to Beaver Creek and strap some skis to                  your feet. Having a fine time at Lonesome Lake is easy. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Ski Cooper, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Main Range Trail. Lonesome Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. Lonesome Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Gold Park Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and the Highline Trail offers hiking at its best. Not much rainfall falls here at Lonesome Lake; most of the rain falls through August, and February is the month with the least moisture. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range.
