Lone Tree Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. People from Canon City love to come to Lone Tree Reservoir; camping at Royal View Campground is always a fine experience. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Lone Tree Reservoir get into the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; night lows at Lone Tree Reservoir all through the wintertime mostly sink into the-10's.

paddling is great on Grape Creek, and of course, all our national parks are pleasant places to stop at and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is no exception. You completely have to love the Front Range. You'll stumble on
a wonderful lake called Ott Reservoir near Lone Tree Reservoir, and Shadow Hills Golf Club is a golf course close by. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do in the Front Range. Sand Draw is a great location to discover; close
by you come across the Tanner Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River, and why not a little side spree to Wilson Creek.

The fishing has been both great and not so good. The time of the year plays a part. However the beauty is always there. Love It!!!... Fishing here was the most terrible expericence ever!
