This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. You simply should adore the Front Range. Drift down the rapids of Grape Creek in a kayak; hiking along the Tanner Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Ott Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Canon City is a magnificent choice.       Lone Tree Reservoir is generally a quite dry site; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lone Tree Reservoir, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows at Lone Tree Reservoir through the winter regularly dip into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.                  Get dripping wet paddling on Arkansas River, and Best Western Royal Gorge Motel is a splendid place to get some rest. Just can't get enough of Lone Tree Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lone Tree Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Royal View Campground; going for a hike along the Stultz Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. There are plenty of people from Canon City here at Lone Tree Reservoir, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Sheeley Trail. Near Lone Tree Reservoir you come across Sand Draw which is a tremendous spot to have a look at; why not take a look at nearby Wilson Creek since you're here at Lone Tree Reservoir. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do in the Front Range. A visit to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is recommended, and Shadow Hills Golf Club is a golf course nearby.
