| | a day at, Smokehouse Campground is a brilliant local campground, and at Upper Ed Lee Dam in the vicinity of Lone Pine Reservoir there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Lone Pine Reservoir is a location with many visitors from Montrose, and Cottonwood Basin is a stunning site any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Lone Pine Reservoir is a location that is rather dried out generally; all through the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of
the year is June. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. The Monitor Mesa Trail is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lone Pine Reservoir, and going
for a hike on the Moore Mesa Trail is always a delightful adventure. During the long summer days highs here at Lone Pine Reservoir reach the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime
are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lone Pine Reservoir are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lone Pine Reservoir you hit upon the Cottonwood Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not go to Beaver Reservoir.
