    A visit to Lone Pine Reservoir is always a good idea. At Lone Pine Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cache La Poudre River - North Fork, and why not camp at Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch while you're here at Lone Pine Reservoir.  
   Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Lone Pine Reservoir is unbeatable! You could also go to Lake Erie while you're here at Lone Pine Reservoir; it's nearby, and an afternoon playing golf at Fox Acres Country Club is always a delight.
For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Lone Pine Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the
 
               30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lone Pine Reservoir temperatures sink to the 0's. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Beartrap Creek is a nice local stream, and there are perfect sites to discover along the Swamp Creek Cutoff Trail.
This place, the Medicine Bow Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Camping is available at Creedmore Lakes Campground; don't leave Lone Pine Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Killpecker Trail. So much fun stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains, not sufficient time. There are some nice whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River, and you can go for a hike on the North Lone Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something next to Lone Pine Reservoir? Pocahontas Lake is nearby.
Lone Pine Reservoir is in the vicinity of Lone Pine Dam which is a beautiful place certainly worth a visit; Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a tremendous place to get some rest.

However my interest in families was sparked when I heard the name Appleton Collins Worster who is in my family tree. ...It's named after my grandfather Appleton Collins Worster, he came here from Maine when he was young. My father and uncles grew up in the house that is on Sand Creek road, not far from reservoir....I have never heard of Worster Reservoir, please let me know where it is located....

The lake was very low on 6/29/08. Not sure when they let all the water out but if it was before this last winter we had... I bet it froze solid. We both fished for a while and did not see and sign of life while we were there....
