Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lon Hagler Reservoir plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. At Lon Hagler Reservoir you can distinguish Mariana Butte, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Round Mountain Trail.
During your trip to Lon Hagler Reservoir you'll meet some
folks from Fort Collins-Loveland for sure, and camping at Fireside Rv Park & Cabins is always a pleasant experience. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Loveland, and there are other places here than Lon Hagler Reservoir,
for example Loveland Reservoir. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Thompson River, and the Jug Trail is a nice hiking trail close by.
Take a side tour to Dry Creek,
and Saint Vrain Creek - North has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Lon Hagler Reservoir called the Crosier Mountain Trail, and not far from Lon Hagler Reservoir you'll hit upon Poison Lake which is a charming lake.
