The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lois Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and night lows at Lois Lake throughout the wintertime mostly descend into the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range. So many enjoyable things to do at Lois Lake, so little       time. If you get bored of Lois Lake, you could also take a look at close by Clohesy Lake, and the Timberline Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Lois Lake is not the only place close by, Pear Lake is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a good place to spend a night or two. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Peaks Campground is a brilliant location to camp; if you're here you can take                  a hike along the Texas Creek Trail. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Sawatch Range. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Lake Creek, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Cooper. Parry Peak Campground is a splendid local campground, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Horn Fork Trail. It is very dried up here at Lois Lake generally; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek, and a visit to Missouri Basin revives the soul. Having a wonderful time in the Sawatch Range is painless.
