The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Lois Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Browns Peak is easily distinguished from Lois Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Lake Creek. So many entertaining things to do in the Sawatch Range, not sufficient time. Parry Peak Campground is       a great local campground, and soar down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak. Not much rainfall falls here at Lois Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. If you go for the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Lois Lake. The slopes of Ski Cooper are so inviting noone can resist, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Timberline Trail. Places like Missouri Basin are pleasant to stop by; possibly you're looking                  for nearby lakes? Sure, Clohesy Lake is just a very short distance away. Why not camp at Twin Peaks Campground while you're here at Lois Lake; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Texas Creek Trail. This spot, the Sawatch Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Going for a hike along the Horn Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Pear Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and if you need a spot to stay Delaware Hotel is a magnificent choice.
