If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lois Lake. High temperatures at Lois Lake during the summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lois Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Leadville is a perfect spot to spend a night or two, and Lake Creek is a great whitewater spot close by. Twin Peaks Campground

Lois Lake is a location that is pretty waterless generally; August is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Horn Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Lakes are good; Lake
Ann is a lake that's near Lois Lake, and Lois Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Parry Peak Campground is a great location to camp nearby. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more entertaining things to
do in the Sawatch Range. While you're here at Lois Lake you can take a hike along the Timberline Trail, and you can run the rapids of Clear Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to visit Missouri Basin while you're here at Lois Lake; the top of Browns Peak is easily observed from Lois Lake.
