Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Crystal River, and hey, Gotta ski right? Irwin Lodge is a brilliant spot to do that. The warmest time of the year at Lizard Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures       at Lizard Lake plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Beaver Lake is a lake that's right next door to Lizard Lake; there's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Beaver Lake Dam in close proximity to Lizard Lake. Buckskin Basin is a good site, and one of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Lizard Lake is Mount Daly. The Hammond Trail offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Laurelwood Condominiums.                  Lizard Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Around Lizard Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. Lost Trail Creek flows through this neighborhood, and Meri-daes RV Park and General Store is a tremendous local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway, and if you need a site to stay Wildwood Lodge is a fine choice. Not far from Lizard Lake, you'll stumble on Beaver Lake Reservoir which is a beautiful lake; Osgood Campground is a glorious campground nearby. What a place this is for outdoors people.
