to take a look at; a spree to Great Sand Dunes National Monument is worthwhile. If only every location had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be. Why not camp at Pinyon Flats Campground while you're here
at Little Sand Creek Lakes, and Days Inn Alamosa is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay North Crestone Campground is a fine location to camp, and the Music Pass Trail offers
hiking at its best. Getting to McKenney Creek from Little Sand Creek Lakes is uncomplicated, and do take a hike on the Rainbow Trail. This lake is so wonderful.

South Crestone Lake
 | Trail is awful, disappearing and reappearing every now and again. Thorn bushes and trash cover what little trail is easy to navigate. Trail disappears completely before you actually reach the lake. Also it appears that an axe murderer has taken up residence in the upperwoods. Be careful and travel in large groups if you plan to try and make it to the lake. It is easy to get lost so mark your trail well.... |
