At Little Ruby Lake you don’t see much rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some wonderful whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Fuchs Reservoir is in the neighborhood. Throughout the summer months here at Little Ruby Lake, high temperatures       regularly reach the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while Little Ruby Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the-10's. Some nearby water includes Quartz Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Wee Ruby Reservoir. Man, is there a heap of cool stuff to do near Little Ruby Lake. Very fine water scenery is available                  at Wee Ruby Dam close to Little Ruby Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Ruby Lake; Middle Creek Stock Driveway is a great local trail. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Don't leave Little Ruby Lake without first going for a hike along the Fern Creek Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. Little Ruby Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Road Canyon Campground is a splendid local campground; a good nearby hotel is Fairfield Pagosa Resort.
