    If you are in Montrose county it's always a good idea to stop by Little Red Reservoir. Little Red Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Little Red Reservoir is so good! Interesting geology is available here; Horsefly Bench is close to Little Red Reservoir; going for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Near Little Red Reservoir you hit upon the Horsefly Trail  
   which is a brilliant hiking trail. There's so much to do here at Little Red Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Iron Spring Campground is a glorious spot for that.
Throughout the summer months at Little Red Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at Little Red Reservoir during the winter ordinarily
 
               fall into the 0's. So much fun stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not enough time. Nearby lakes? Sure, Herman Reservoir is near Little Red Reservoir, and Quality Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest. Around Little Red Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls all through July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on San Miguel River for all you adrenaline junkies; if you came to camp Antone Spring Campground is a delightful place to do that. Visit Big A Creek while you're here at Little Red Reservoir, and Little Red Canyon is a fine place to spend some time. Get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of San Miguel River.
This lake is so wonderful. Burnt Stump Spring is always fun to check out; if you've had enough of Little Red Reservoir, Big Red Reservoir is close by. This place, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Here at Little Red Reservoir you'll possibly meet some folks from Montrose; you can go for a hike on the Pool Creek Trail.
