If you are traveling by, why not stop by Little Red Reservoir. The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Quality Inn & Suites is a fine site to get some rest; Little Red Reservoir is right by the Pool Creek Trail. A lovely lake like Dead Horse Reservoir near Little Red Reservoir is a pleasant location to go to.
That right there is loads of fun things already but it goes on, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has it all. The Dry Creek Trail

| | offers hiking at its best, and you're sure to come across some fine people from Montrose here. Around Little Red Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on San Miguel River, and if you want to stop by some exciting stuff, stop by Horsefly Bench. This lake is so
wonderful. Why not camp at Iron Spring Campground since you're here at Little Red Reservoir, and there's good hiking along the Horsefly Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Miguel
River; close by you come across Little Red Canyon which is a delightful location to stop by.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Antone Spring Campground is a good place to camp, and a tour to Burnt Stump
Spring will fill your soul with brilliant feelings. Summertime highs at Little Red Reservoir frequently tend to be in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Little Red Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
