Good hiking is available along the Whitehead Trail; if you desire a little side trip, try Molas Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Little Molas Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Park Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some good whitewater. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things       to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel; Little Molas Lake is not the only spot nearby, Molas Lake is a nearby lake. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The San Juan and Jemez Mountains is so good! If you get bored of Little Molas Lake, you could also explore close by Andrews Lake, and the skiing at Kendall Mountain is pleasant.
