Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Silverton. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Pine-Piedra Stock Driveway, and Dollar Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Little Emerald Lake. Near Little Emerald Lake you come across pleasant sites like Hell Canyon, and whitewater

Hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Emerald Lake; Devil Mountain Trail is a nice local trail; while you're here, you could also explore charming Emerald Lake. Camping at Vallecito Campground is always a splendid experience, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vallecito Creek. August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. For the duration of the warm months at Little Emerald Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures
drop down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while Little Emerald Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
